Bedspace
An individual bed within a shared room. Each bedspace is tracked and billed independently — the defining unit type for the bedspace model.

Partition
A sectioned-off area within a larger space, separated by a partition wall or divider. Common in labour camp and budget accommodation settings.

Loft Partition
An elevated partitioned area, typically in industrial or warehouse conversions. Tracked separately with its own lease and billing.

Loft Room
A loft-level enclosed room. Similar to a private room but located on a mezzanine or upper loft level within a building.

Shared Room Space
A designated space within a shared room where the tenant is not assigned to a specific bed — commonly used for flexible dormitory arrangements.

Unspecified
A catch-all type for unique unit configurations that don't fit the standard classifications. Fully trackable and billable.

4 Bed Types
Track beds at the type level — not just as headcounts
Bed type affects pricing, tenant expectations, and occupancy rates. Bedspace Manager lets you track each bed by type so your inventory data is accurate enough to act on.
Single Bed
A standard single-width bed. The most common bed type in bedspaces and private rooms.
Double Bed
A double-width bed. Common in premium bedspaces or couples accommodations.
Bunk Bed
A stacked two-tier bed. Track upper and lower bunk as separate billable beds or as a single unit.
Unspecified
For non-standard bed configurations or when bed type is not a relevant distinction for billing purposes.
